The Organ Grinder, Not The Monkey
This former Organ Builder's workshop is located in Italian Hill, its boundaries are recognised as Clerkenwell Road, Farringdon Road and Rosebery Avenue. As well as the Italian church of St Peter’s, there are several local shops and services run by members of the Italian community, including a scuola guida (driving school) for those who want to drive like an Italian, but the number of these premises is declining. The greatest concentration of Italians in the area was around the end of the nineteenth century. Before this, the Saffron Hill vicinity had been notorious for the pickpockets and fences portrayed in Oliver Twist and the authorities were glad to see these supplanted by the more respectable Italians.

John turned off the set. I said, "Well, there's no reason not to open the good stuff now."
"Yes," he said, "and we might as well put on our finest and make a night of it."
I took his hand. "Since we are ill-equipped to live in survival mode, let's go out in style."

I was looking through my stuff tonight and *kablammo*, this bright blue color seemed to hit me everywhere I looked! So I decided to run with it, and see what happened.
I started with the Japanese bus ticket on the right. The loteria card on the left seemed like a good balance to it, and the rest just sort of presented itself. I've been wondering how I'd ever use the prescription directions sticker, so I'm glad that it finally found a home. :) I finished off the collage with some transfers and a couple of different rubber stamps (the "2" and the scroll on the right). :)
